Eastern State Penitentiary's Terror Behind The Walls
The HRC finished out 2014 with a trip to Philly to review the haunt located inside of the Eastern State Penitentiary. Terror behind the walls featured several sections of themed areas. We went for their last weekend open. The lights out tour! We've gone over the years to Terror behind the walls separately for their typical show. This was our first time for the "lights out tour" This was incredible. We had the option to choose full contact or no touching. Well, you know HRC. We had to go hard or go home. We went for full contact. We were sent through much of the haunt separately! All alone wandering a real previously used prison. The make up of the actors was so sick. They were so in character. Forced us to walk in pitch black rooms, down tunnels, into tubes. It was absolutely insane. We had to take a shuttle bus from the parking lot to the attraction. It would have been cool to have an actor or someone on the bus to give a back story or sort of pump us up for the show. The lights out and full contact definitely turned up the intensity of the show. We've never enjoyed this haunt so much. Hope to go back in 2015 for this version as well. We couldn't see much of their scenes and props because it was so so dark. The history of the buildings and the dark ambiance was enough on its own. What a show. We have given them a perfect 10!!!
